Reportedly, a Pickup Truck Rolled into the Payette River on Sunday

Horseshoe Bend -- On Sunday morning, a pickup truck was reported to have rolled from Highway 55 and had submerged into the Payette River, just north of the Gardena Bridge. There is no release of information as to whom may have been in the vehicle, at this time. When emergency personnel searched the area, nothing could be found of the pickup truck, nor of the individual(s). There is no evidence that someone was able to escape from this accident.
Those that were called on to assist in this recovery effort included: Boise County Deputies, the Horseshoe Bend Fire Department, Horseshoe Bend Ambulance and Garden Valley Swift Water Rescue. In addition, volunteers from the Cascade Raft Company joined in the search and looked for several hours downstream, all the way to the Horseshoe Bend dam site...
