Students Try Surveying in Idaho City

Idaho City -- Many students were enthralled with the new addition of Surveying to the Outdoor Education curriculum, held in behalf of the Boise Basin School District students. Glenn Bennett, President of Civil Survey Consultants, Inc., had an opportunity to teach some fundamentals as to what’s involved with surveying. He explained, “Anyone that likes diversity in what they do, problem solving and new technologies would love surveying.” The job of a surveyor can also be very rewarding.
“As I told the students, every project begins with a survey and ends with a survey,” says Bennett. “Engineers cannot begin a project design without mapping to see what the land looks like or a boundary survey to determine the limits of where they are.
