Fish & Game Violations Go To Court

Boise County - Eight people were brought up on Idaho Fish & Game violations in Magistrate Court on April 4. The family had been in a “hunting party,” in which some of the members left and another, Kevin Baney, used their tags. Five of these people plead guilty to “transferring a license or tag to another,” and their hunting, fishing and trapping licenses were suspended 2 years from that court date. Two of the folks had their charges dismissed and Kevin Baney will be prosecuted in District Court for a felony count of “killing an elk or wasting a big game animal,” which had occurred on October 8, 2016. Their lawyer stated, “Kevin’s actions put the whole family in a bad situation. Do you pack up and leave, or turn in your son?” Baney will be arraigned on April 13th, 2016....
