VFW Supports Community

Gayle Strack thanked the VFW, Idaho City Post 142, for their donation of $500 to go towards the "Veterans Therapeutic Gardens." She became emotional speaking of her 4 sons, 3 of which served or are serving in the military. One of those sons had become disabled.
Gayle had also brought along her father, Bill, to the meeting. He had served as a Marine in WWII, and was just shy of 90-years-old.
As a realtor, Gayle is experienced in how to obtain property. She has put those skills to use to build a non-profit and build gardens that can then be handed over to veterans to care for and maintain. In her spare time, she is also the proud owner and curator of Creekside Campground, located a few miles south of Idaho City, along Hwy. 21.
Idaho City's VFW Post 142 donated money back to the community ...
