New Year’s Eve Sledding at Steamboat Gulch

Idaho City - A good time is to be had at Steamboat Gulch each winter. This historic sledding hill has been re-opened in recent years, due to the caring and generosity of the Mores Creek Recreational Foundation. Their commitment to keeping the land open to folks, has been an ongoing pursuit for this non-profit organization.
To continue in this tradition, they must pay dues to the Idaho Department of Lands for the use the area, with or without a good snow season. They have installed a bridge, sought to build a healthier environment and have even considered educational opportunities. The foundation seeks to advance recreational opportunities in Boise County, and within the Boise National Forest.
Fees are $10 per a car, which goes to keeping the roads plowed. The porta-potties & dumpster...
